Bill Briggs, Director, NGL Waterborne Origination, Phillips 66

Bill has 19 years of commercial marine and products experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. He is a 1996 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY. His industry career started on inland tow boats with American Commercial Barge Lines and then a quick progression to oil tankers with Coastal Corporation. He then came ashore to assume marine operations positions with Coastal and Laurin Maritime. This was followed by a vessel chartering position with El Paso Energy. After assisting Clarksons Shipbrokers with establishing their U.S. based operations in Houston he moved to Phillips 66, holding positions in vessel chartering and LPG origination where he has been for the past 11 years.

Matt Marshall
Matt Marshall, Senior Trading Analyst, Cargill

Matt Marshall currently leads macro research for natural gas trading for Cargill, where he previously held the same responsibilities for natural gas liquids and petchems. Cargill is a very active participant in petroleum markets around the globe. As a large consumer of fuels and plastics in packaging, Cargill’s specific interest in NGLs and their downstream markets is driven by management of its internal consumption, and for helping customers control their exposures to volatile energy prices.
Daniel Penovich
Dan Penovich, President, Mitsui Rail Capital

Dan Penovich is a 35 year veteran of the railcar leasing industry. He is president of Mitsui Rail Capital, LLC, a 50/50 joint venture between JA Mitsui Leasing, Ltd. and Mitsui and Co. Ltd. both located in Tokyo, Japan.

Dan’s previous work included 12 years at GATX Corporation where he led the North American Sales force and provided support for GATX’s international business development projects. Prior to GATX, he was employed by Union Tank Car for 15 years where he led commercial efforts in the Midwest region. He started his career in the rail car operating leasing business at North American Car Company.

In addition to his work experience Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Logistics from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Dan is an active member of the Chicago Traffic Club, New York Traffic Club, National Grain and Feed Association, North American Freight Car Association, Association of American Railroads and a number of other rail shipper organizations. He also has joined the Indiana University-Kelly School of Business Transportation Executive Board. The board’s goal is to promote careers in logistics and supply chain management to students at the Kelly School. Ultimately the board wants the University to establish a major in supply chain and logistics management.

Dan resides in the Chicago suburb of Naperville, Illinois with his wife Cindy and has two grown children, Mark and Laura.
Felipe Silva
Felipe Silva,
Supply Manager, ‎Empresas Lipigas S.A. 

Felipe Silva is the supply manager of the Chilean LPG company Lipigas S.A. He is an electrical engineer with post graduate study in finances.

Felipe has worked at Lipigas for the last 20 years in several positions including operations manager, logistics manager, and north commercial zone manager. In his time at Lipigas, he has been the leader of modernization projects of two main bottling plants at Lipigas, introducing a pallet distribution system in Chile. Felipe was in charge of developing a LPG distribution company in Bolivia, including building a bottling plant in Santa Cruz. He introduced the first use of railway for LPG transportation from north of Argentina to Chile, crossing the Andes mountains.

In the last four years he has been the leader of a maritime LPG supply project for Lipigas. This includes building full refrigerated storage in Quintero as well as negotiation of LPG supply on freight contracts, forming Lipigas’s LPG trading company.
Luis Landeros

President, LPGas Distributors Association 

Luis Landeros serves as the president of the board for the LPGas Distributors Association (ADG) in Mexico. He has more than 25 years of experience with retail and consumer distribution companies, serving in project leadership, sales management, sales development, consulting and marketing management, and chief executive positions. The ADG serves to promote and advocate common interest of the four biggest LPG distribution groups of Mexico, concentrating 250 companies with 45 percent of the total market share, nationwide. The ADG actively participated in the elaboration of the Secondary Laws for the Mexican Energy Reform with the Secretariat of Energy, including its Hydrocarbon Regulation, Administrative Rulings and Official LPGas Standards.
Dominic Haywood
Dominic Haywood, Crude Market Analyst, Energy Aspect

Dominic specializes in North American crude oil market analysis. His work at Energy Aspects centers on supply and demand fundamentals, with a particular emphasis on regional crude balances, trade flows and grades. His research covers specialist areas such as Cushing storage, pipeline arbitrage and Canadian oil sands market dynamics. Prior to Energy Aspects he worked for a London based commodity fund as an oil derivatives trader, and for UBS in New York. Dominic holds a BA from Nottingham University and a GDL in Law from the University of Law, London. Dominic is currently an MBA candidate at Warwick Business School, where he is enrolled on the Global Energy MBA program.

Knut Scharning, President, Gulf Stream Tanker Chartering

Knut Scharning brings 25+ years of experience in shipping and logistics for liquid products, from clean petroleum products and chemicals to palm oil and tallow. He has worked with ship owners and brokers including players like Odfjell, Stolt Nielsen, Navig8, Team Tankers, and Maersk,. Producers and commodity trading companies such as Shell, BASF, Firestone Polymers, Integra, Tricon, TPC, Atlantic Methanol and Denofa. Knut has executed a long-term contracts of affreightment with Ras Gas and Qatar Gas moving product from Qatar to the United States. Since 2007, Knut has owned and operated Gulf Stream Tanker Chartering, a brokering and logistics consulting business. Trained at the Norwegian Shipping Academy. Knut received his business education from “The Oslo School of Business” in Norway, majoring in International Marketing & Management. He has been married for 28 years and has been blessed with two healthy boys. Knut resides in Houston.
Karin Krugner Constantino
Karin Krugner Constantino, Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, Ultragaz 

Karin is a graduate in production engineering and has a post graduate degree in supply chain and logistics. In 2001, she started her career as a trainee at Ultragaz, leading LPG distributor in Brazil, in the controlling department. Subsequently, promoted to analyst in a supply chain area. Since then, she has been improving and consolidating her career in these areas. Nowadays she is responsible for all LPG purchasing throughout Brazil, as well as route optimization and freight accounts. 
Uday Turaga
Uday Turaga, PhD, CEO, ADI Analytics

Uday Turaga is CEO of ADI Analytics LLC, a boutique energy and chemical consulting firm based in Houston, TX.

Through more than 15 years of experience at ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Booz Allen, and ADI, Turaga brings deep commercial and technical expertise in oil and gas, coal, renewables, and chemicals. Turaga holds a PhD in Fuel Science from Penn State and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.  
Craig Whitley, Global LPG Analytics Team Leader, BP
Craig Whitley, President and CEO, World Energy Consultants

Craig Whitley is President and CEO of World Energy Consultants, LLC. After 45 years of experience working in the U.S. NGL and global LPG industries, Craig recently retired as the Global NGL Analytics leader for BP and launched World Energy Consultants to provide market analysis, feasibility studies, due diligence support, merger acquisition analysis, custom studies, expert testimony, workshops and training programs for private, public and state-owned energy companies.

Prior to joining BP in 2010, Craig was a senior partner at the international energy consulting firm of Purvin & Gertz for 18 years. Craig joined Purvin & Gertz in 1993 and headed the company’s LPG consulting practices in Latin America and Southeast Asia, and is well known for his analysis of North American NGL markets.

Craig is an expert in international LPG markets, having conducted and led consulting assignments in 49 different countries during his 18-year tenure at Purvin & Gertz. He was also very instrumental at growing Purvin & Gertz market forecasting services as founder and Senior Editor of Purvin & Gertz’ North America NGL Market Outlook, Global LPG Market Outlook and Latin America LPG Market Outlook multi-client studies for many years.

Immediately prior to his employment with Purvin & Gertz, Craig was President of Bonner & Moore Market Consultants, an international energy-consulting firm headquartered in Houston, TX. During his career he has served as chief executive of several energy firms in the LPG business, including BruinGas, Inc., Trio Energy Company, Trio Chemical Company and Aero Energy, Inc.

Craig’s LPG industry expertise and knowledge encompasses many areas of interest that highlight his widespread industry experience, including: market analysis and forecasting, supply acquisition and distribution, gas processing, LPG and NGL trading and marketing, technical analysis, aerosol propellant production and international LPG trade.

Craig lives in Houston, is married and has 4 children. He holds separate B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Zoology and received his MBA from Ole Miss.
Gonzalo de Arteaga

Gonzalo de Arteaga is a Senior Analyst at Fearnleys, responsible for research and market analytics for LNG and LPG carriers. Fearnleys is one of the most prominent ship-broking houses in the market, supporting charterers and owners to pursue cutting-edge shipping solutions and innovations in a rapidly developing market. Prior to joining Fearnleys, Gonzalo spent four years at Statoil, where he worked as a Senior Gas Market Analyst. Gonzalo is an economist with a Masters in Economics with specialization in energy at NHH, Bergen and a Master in International Management both at NHH, Bergen and HEC, Paris.
Ajey Chandra
Ajey Chandra, Managing Director, Muse, Stancil & Co.
Mr. Ajey Chandra is a Director of the firm and the Managing Director of the Houston office of Muse, Stancil & Co. where he also leads the Midstream practice area for the firm. Mr. Chandra joined Muse in 2014 after 28 years of experience in various facets of the midstream industry, including operations, engineering, business development, management, and consulting. Mr. Chandra has had a wide variety of assignments covering all aspects of the energy industry during his career, and has had several long term expatriate assignments overseas, including Europe and Southeast Asia. Mr. Chandra’s operating, consulting and management experience includes working at Amoco, Purvin & Gertz, Hess and NextEra Energy Resources prior to joining Muse Stancil. Mr. Chandra has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Houston. Mr. Chandra has also attended Executive Education classes at Harvard University, and is a Professional Engineer in Texas.
Samuel Maubanc
Samuel Maubanc, General Manager, AEGPL 

Samuel Maubanc is General Manager at the European LPG Association (AEGPL), which is the sole representative of the LPG industry at European level, representing national LPG Associations as well as distributors and equipment manufacturers from across Europe.

He started working for the AEGPL in 2011. His main role is to coordinate the work of the association, manage its administration, and establish reliable and efficient communication channels with European Union policy makers and the wider policy community, on behalf of the European LPG sector. Samuel represents AEGPL in EU-level discussions relating to policies and regulations that are of direct relevance to LPG, either as a heating/cooking, industrial, or transport fuel.

Samuel has ten years of experience in government relations. He has provided consulting services in public affairs and strategy to companies from a wide range of sectors including energy, ICT, retail, food, and media. Prior to living in Brussels, he also worked in Tokyo at the European Commission Delegation to Japan, where he dealt with regulatory obstacles preventing European businesses getting access to the Japanese market.

Samuel is a French citizen and holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Aalborg, Denmark.

Mr. Gerry Goobie is a Principal in the Calgary office of Gas Processing Management Inc. (GPMi) providing consulting services to clients in the natural gas liquids (NGL) and natural gas processing industry throughout North America.

Gerry has been in the petroleum industry for 32 years with over 25 years in the NGL and natural gas businesses. His experience includes commercial operations, project management, strategic planning, acquisitions and divestments, regulatory matters and general management.

Prior to joining GPMi, Gerry was a Managing Consultant in the Calgary office of Purvin & Gertz Inc. Prior to joining Purvin & Gertz, Gerry provided independent consulting services to clients in the natural gas and NGL businesses in Western Canada.

Gerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree. He is Registered Professional Engineer in the province of Alberta.
Anne Keller
Anne Keller, Manager - NGL Research, Wood Mackenzie

Anne Keller joined Wood Mackenzie in August 2012, managing the NGL Research team, which developed and launched the short term service in 2013, and the long term service in 2014.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, she was Founder and President of Midstream Energy Group, a strategy consultancy focused on transaction advisory services to the gas midstream and NGL distribution and marketing sectors, private equity investors, and banks. Her industry experience includes positions in corporate finance, asset management, NGL supply and trading, and project development. She was also Group Manager in the Natural Gas and Utilities section of Jacobs Consultancy, a subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering.

Anne holds a BS in Accounting and Business Administration and an MBA in Finance. She is a CPA, and currently serves on the Boards of Directors and the Finance and Technical Committees of the Gas Processors’ Suppliers Association. She has developed and taught “NGL Fundamentals” courses which have been attended by over 1,000 industry professionals, including an “NGL 101” webinar sponsored by the US Energy Information Administration.  
Warren Wilczewski, EIA, Industry Economist, Office of Petroleum, Natural Gas & Biofuels Analysis

Since joining the Energy Information Administration in 2014 Warren Wilczewski has led EIA’s effort at implementing survey and analytical changes to the way the agency collects and disseminates Hydrocarbon Gas Liquids (HGL) data. Warren contributes to EIA’s HGL analysis along a wide range of products, including short-term and long-term energy outlooks, near-term articles, energy-by-rail, and various assessments of the HGL complex. Prior to coming to EIA Warren worked at ICF International, where he supported the company’s development of an NGL practice as the lead market analyst. Warren received his BA in International Relations/International Trade from the University of British Columbia, and his MS in Global Affairs/Energy & Environment from New York University.
Jamie Fisher
Jamie Fisher, Director - Energy Exports, AltaGas 

Jamie Fisher is the Director Energy Exports – Commercial at AltaGas Ltd., and is currently working as a part of the development team at AltaGas Idemitsu Joint Venture. AIJV was formed to pursue opportunities involving exports of LPG and liquefied natural gas LNG from Canada to Asia. Jamie has extensive experience in the development of wholesale and retail markets for natural gas, and has structured and negotiated a broad range of long-term marketing, sale, and asset management transactions at locations Canada. Companies he has held commercial roles with include Duke Energy, TransCanada Pipelines, and Merrill Lynch.

Jamie started in the energy industry as an engineer, and has a strong background in mechanical engineering, gas processing, and plant construction. He has a B.Sc. from the University of Calgary, and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. Jamie currently lives in Calgary with his wife and two teenage daughters.
David Appleton
David Appleton, Senior Analyst, Argus

David Appleton is a Senior Analyst at Argus, specializing in LPG. He is responsible for delivery of the global and European LPG statistical reviews that Argus publishes in partnership with WLPGA each year, as well as editing the Argus LPG Outlook and contributing to Argus LPG World among other projects.. Prior to joining Argus, David spent six years at the European LPG Association, where in his role as public affairs manager, he promoted and defended the interests of the downstream European LPG sector in the Brussels energy policy sphere. David holds a BscEcon in Politics and Economics and a Masters in International Development
Paige Morse
Paige Morse, PhD, VP, Propylene and Derivatives, Argus

Paige Morse is responsible for market intelligence and analysis for propylene and related derivatives. She has 25 years in experience in the chemical industry in the US and Europe, and joined Argus in 2016.

She is a strategic thinker with broad experience in business development and corporate planning in chemical and energy markets. Paige has worked in R&D, business development, and marketing at Shell, Dow, Sunoco and Clariant. She has worked on several M&A projects throughout her career, with a focus on acquisition targeting, market and technology assessment, and asset integration. Paige has PhD in chemistry from the University of Illinois, and a Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College in Ohio.
