Aakash Doshi
Aakash Doshi, Director, Citi

Aakash Doshi is a senior commodities strategist for Citi Research in New York. As part of the global commodity research team, he focuses on macro commodities strategy, investor flows, energy/biofuels, gold and agriculture sectors. He also analyzes commodities as an overall asset class and comments on world food price inflation, among other cross-discipline topics related to the market. Prior to joining Citi, he was a special situations analyst at a New York and London-based credit hedge fund, credit derivatives trader at UBS Investment Bank and in asset management sales at Alliance-Bernstein. Aakash began his career on the short-term interest rate trading desk at GMAC. He holds a master's degree in international finance from Columbia University and is regularly quoted in print and TV media/financial press including Bloomberg, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, CNBC and BNN.

Chandra Dev Singh has over twenty years of professional experience in Oil & Gas Sector, predominantly in Energy Risk Management. He leads a team which is responsible of hedging of refinery margins (GRM), freight, bunkers and outright petroleum products like Naphtha, Fuel Oil, precious metal and structured product solutions to industrial and commercial sectors. He is having exhaustive knowledge of financial risks, hedge accounting standards, OTC energy market compliance and regulations as well as hands-on experience in the field of Market and Credit Risk Management, “Energy Trading and Risk Management” application, precious metal and also providing structured product solutions to industrial and commercial sectors. In order to hedge intelligently and effectively, He constantly keeps informed on global oil fundamentals, technical and short and long term refinery outlook. He interacts a lot with technical experts, oil trade analysts and heads of market research all over the World.

Mr. Singh holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India and a Master’s degree in Financial Management from Jamanalal Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, India. He is also a certified “Energy Risk Professional (ERP)” and FRM from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) Inc., New Jersey, USA.

He has been invited as a speaker on the subjects of Oil, Petro-chemical Feedstock, Petroleum Products, LNG, “Energy Trading and Risk Management” applications and Risk Management in many international conferences in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Dubai, Brisbane and Geneva.

Adi Imsirovic is a head of oil trading at Gazprom Marketing & Trading in London. He has worked both in London and Singapore, where he spent over 13 years. Adi is a Fulbright scholar and studied at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard. He also part time lectures in Energy Economics and Environmental and Resource Economics at Surrey University, England.

Daniel Furlan Amaral is chief economist at ABIOVE - Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries, an entity that represents soybean processing and biodiesel producers in Brazil. He has been working in the entity since 2007 and performs market monitoring activities related to the economic and regulatory areas related to soy, logistics, trade and biodiesel. He also worked as a researcher at ICONE - Institute for Trade Studies and International Negotiations. He is an economist at FEA USP, with a master's degree in applied economics from ESALQ USP and a doctorate in applied economics from ESALQ USP.

Most recently he was Oil Markets Columnist at Reuters. Robert holds an MA from McMaster University and a BA from McGill University and is based in New York.

Alfonso Martin-Fernandez counts with more than 12 years of experience trading and analyzing global financial markets. Currently he is a Vice President on Bank of America Merrill Lynch oil trading desk in NY. He currently focuses on generating fundamental analysis for the desk and leading the energy business development effort in Mexico and Latin America. He is been extremely involved on the recent energy reform in Mexico over the last few years he and actively works on commodity risk management solution with several clients in the region. Prior to BAML, he worked at Barclays commodities desk trading different parts of the barrel and at Banco de Mexico Central Bank operation division where he held different roles managing the international reserves portfolio worth more than $100 billion focusing on FX, Fixed Income and Commodities. He holds a BA in economics from ITAM and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Former VP for North Latin America at Bureau Veritas Commodities managing strategic planning, P/L operation, and new growth projects in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Venezuela y Curacao, with a focus in oil and gas, coal, metals and minerals, agriculture and environmental services.

Prior to his tenure at Bureau Veritas, Carlos collaborated for 29 years in the Pemex Group, earning an extensive experience in Mexico’s O&G industry, in several management positions including: tankers management, offshore crude oil operations, petroleum products terminals operations amongst others at PMI. He was chairman of the Committee of Petroleum Measurement Accountability at the American Petroleum Institute from 2004 to 2007 and active member.

Carlos has a chief officer and engineer degrees from Escuela Nautica Mercante de Veracruz; a maritime law diploma from University of Southampton; and an executive MBA diploma from Kellogg School of Management, Evanston, IL.

Naomi Esfahani is a global crude oil markets analyst with Suncor Energy based in Calgary, Canada, and is responsible for providing short and long term crude oil markets outlook. She is also a regional director of Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA).

Naomi started her career as an engineer at Schlumberger Technology Center based in Tokyo and was involved in development projects with oilfields application particularly in wireline and drilling and measurement services. Prior to joining Suncor, she was a risk analyst at BP’s Integrated Supply and Trading Group, and her responsibilities included market risk oversight and credit risk projects. Naomi has also worked as a SAS Analytics consultant with primary focus of developing advanced analytics for market and credit risk and front office applications.

Naomi holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Robotics and Automation Engineering from Tohoku University (Japan), a Master of Mathematical Finance and a PhD in Operations Research from the University of Southern California (USA).

Clayton graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business management from UFRN, and with an MBA degree from FGV – Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
