The St Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (Spimex), licensed by the Russian Federal Financial Markets Service, launched trading in 2008. It offers trading in spot and futures contracts for refined oil products. Trading in the spot natural gas market was launched in October 2014. Crude Oil and Timber Markets complement the product line.
SPIMEX Urals deliverable futures contract for Russian export crude was launched in November 2016. Working together with the Russian Government, Russian oil majors and global trading houses, SPIMEX aims to create a new risk management and trading tool.
