AdvanSix releases higher amsul values
Domestic chemicals producer AdvanSix raised its ammonium sulfate prices today as market attention shifts to fall purchasing amid potential supply issues from a competitor.
Amsul volumes across upper Mississippi River warehouses increased to $345/st fob, up from $325-330/st fob summer fill values announced in mid-July. Ohio River warehouse pricing for amsul rose by $20/st to $340/st fob. These values netback to a $300/st fob Nola value.
The fresh prices released by AdvanSix are also significantly higher compared with 2023 levels, when the producer increased from its summer pricing to sell amsul at $290/st fob at its river warehouses.
Higher amsul prices may be noted throughout the coming weeks amid an unknown restart timeline for US amsul producer Interoceanic Corporation (IOC) that shut in its Pasadena, Texas, facility in early July ahead of Hurricane Beryl's landfall.
