Adds shipping schedule details
Ethiopia's EABC has issued a tender to buy 250,000t of urea in five lots for September-October loading, closing on 17 September.
The importer has outlined the following shipment schedule for arrival in Djibouti:
- Lot 1: loading by 30 September-4 October, arrival by 10 October
- Lot 2: loading by 6-10 October, arrival by 15 October
- Lot 3: loading by 11-15 October, arrival by 20 October
- Lot 4: loading by 16-20 October, arrival by 25 October
- Lot 5: loading by 21-25 October, arrival by 15 November
Offers can be submitted on a fob or cfr basis. The tender follows EABC's enquiries in July and April.
The loading window is set to tighten the balance east of Suez in the coming months, with a purchase tender in major buyer India also under way for cargoes shipping to the end of October.
