Greek shipowner TMS Cardiff Gas has taken delivery of a new LNG carrier from Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) shipyard in Ulsan.
The 174,000m³ La Seine, left the shipyard on 29 February and was sailing east into the Pacific Ocean yesterday morning, vessel-tracking data show.
The vessel will now enter a seven-year time charter with Total, TMS Cardiff Gas said. The La Seine brings the Greek firm's fleet to 10 vessels, including six LNG carriers and four very large gas carriers.
The vessel, which has an X-DF propulsion system, was ordered at the beginning of 2018, with the option of ordering a second vessel from HHI.
