US fertilizer distributor Growmark will acquire agrichemical manufacturer AgraForm, with the deal expected to close at the end of the month.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
AgraForm offers chemical manufacturers' bulk and liquid formulation and blending, spray drying, milling, packaging, storage and other processing services. The company also produces and packages insecticides, fungicides and biological agriculture products.
AgraForm's manufacturing and storage facilities are in St Louis, Missouri.
The deal will "strengthen our relationships with key suppliers who currently utilize AgraForm's manufacturing facilities" and will allow the company "to produce proprietary product offerings," according to Growmark chief executive Wade Mittelstadt.
Growmark is an agricultural cooperative based in Bloomington, Illinois, providing agronomy, energy, logistics and grain marketing and risk management services.
