Hon. Dionysis Stamenitis

Deputy Minister

Dionysis Stamenitis was born in Giannitsa in 1968. He studied civil engineering in the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with postgraduate studies in “Environmental Policy, Education and Communication” at the Department of Forestry and Management of the Environment and Natural Resources of Democritus University of Thrace, specializing in Energy Policy and Development. Since 1995, he has been a regular member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and since 1999, he has worked as a freelance civil engineer, specializing in Administration building Works and in Structural and Functional Rehabilitation of listed buildings. He has also served as a member of the scientific committee for Engineering Seismology and Earthquake Engineering and as a member of the permanent committee of private works and building activity of the Technical Chamber of Greece. On the 6th of May in 2012 he was elected for the first time member of Parliament in the constituency of Pella in the general elections, representing Nea Demokratia. He was reelected in the elections on June 17th in 2012, on July 7th 2019, on May 21st 2023 and June 25th 2023. On the 27th of June in 2023 he assumed duties as Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Rural Development and Food upon the decision of the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Sjoerd Jenneskens currently serves as Sales Director Fertilizers at OCI Global, and has over 20 years of experience in the fertilizer and chemical industry. Sjoerd joined OCI in 2010 and has held several commercial, business development and sustainability roles in the Ammonia, Fertilizer and Methanol business of OCI. In his previous role as Sustainability Director, Sjoerd co-shaped OCI’s sustainability strategy and decarbonization efforts. Prior to OCI, Sjoerd worked at Royal DSM and there he started his career in Safety, Health and Environment. Sjoerd holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, and a master’s degree in International Business from Maastricht University. Sjoerd is passionate about creating sustainable business value, together with all stakeholders and value chain partners, and is collaborating day-to-day to minimize the impact of OCI’s processes and products on our planet.

Dr. Maen Nsour

Dr. Maen F. Nsour is President and CEO of the Arab Potash Company (APC) since April 23, 2019. Before his current position he was Senior Advisor for Business Development and Strategies at APC since September 2017. Dr. Nsour was Chief-of-Staff and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Jordan. He was also a member of the Economic and Financial Ministerial Committee. In his capacity as Chief-of-Staff and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Nsour served as the principal adviser to the Prime Minister, offering strategic and tactical advice to the Prime Minister on policy matters and on the implementation of the government's strategic plans and programs. Dr. Nsour was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Jordan Investment Board (JIB). JIB is the government agency responsible for attracting investments, supporting exports, and creating an investment-conducive economic environment. Dr. Nsour was Senior Regional Programs Adviser at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York. He was also Director of Policy Planning and Economic Studies at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in Jordan.

Vassilis Kotoulas

Dr. Vassilis Kotoulas joined Athenian Brewery (Heineken Greece) in 2013 as scientific coordinator of the Malting Barley Contract Farming Program, while since 2017 is the Head of the Program. He received his BSc in Agronomy from Agricultural University of Athens and his MSc (plant breeding and field crops) and PhD (plant water relations) from Agricultural University of Athens. He has been involved in numerous EU and national research projects collaborating with both Agricultural University and Benaki Phytopathological Institute. He has worked as a Trainer at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences. He is a co-author in many scientific publications in international journals.

Before joining the Fertilizer’ Association she worked as a Lecturer in Laboratory of Soil and Agricultural Chemistry in AUA and participated as researcher or coordinator in more than twenty research projects. In the private sector, she has also worked as R&D Manager in Nanotechnology for product development. She has more than 20 publications, in international journals and in Proceedings of International and National Congresses.

Alberto joined Miller in April 2024 as a producing broker for the Marine team based in Singapore. Previously employed in a commodity focused insurance broker, Alberto has dedicated the past few years to gaining knowledge and expertise on the risk management and related insurance solutions across the supply chain of commodity trading-based clients. His focus spans from marine cargo and stock throughput programmes to charterer’s liability and trade credit solutions.
Alberto also has matured trading and freight experience by working for a large Asian vegetable oil conglomerate, as well as logistics from his time as a sales trader and business development manager. Alberto is Italian and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in finance with specialisation in commodity trading and energy finance.

Oliver Hatfield, is VP Business Development for Argus Media in London. Oliver joined Argus in October 2018 following its acquisition of Integer Research, where he spent 15 years as head of the fertilizer market research team. Oliver has more than 20 years of experience in business analysis and consulting, and he was also one of the founders of Integer. Oliver has worked extensively on multi-client and bespoke fertilizer market analysis studies, covering market forecasts, strategy, due diligence, market entry and project feasibility. He has worked as an analyst on all the key fertilizer and related chemical markets: nitrogen, phosphates, potash, sulphur and sulphuric acid. Oliver is a graduate of economics and development economics from the University of Manchester in the UK.

Dr. Daniel García Seco de Herrera is Agronomist (biotechnology specialty) and Doctor cum laude by San Pablo CEU University (Best Thesis Award). Currently he is the R&D Director in AFEPASA (Tarragona, Spain), one of the most important companies in Sulphur for agriculture. The last decades the R&D team of AFEPASA is developing new Elemental Sulphur based products, as fertilizers, new biopesticides and biostimulants.

Tim is Senior Vice President for the fertilizer sector at Argus. Tim worked a process manager at an ammonia/urea plant in South Africa before moving to the UK to join KBR (then M.W. Kellogg) as a process engineer in the ammonia technology team. More recently Tim has covered fertilizer and industrial nitrogen as a market analyst.
