The policy of Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) is restricted to deal exclusively with the end users (the companies that own refineries) and to achieve the fair value of Iraqi crude oils sales. As a result of the accumulated experience in dealing with the oil market, SOMO’s policy which has been established over the years takes into consideration the requirements of the crude oil industry in Iraq. Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), and on its way to achieve these goals, adopts a set of criteria that are known for their integrity and uniqueness.
Moreover, in order to meet its targets, Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) enters into standard unified contracts for the sale of the available quantities of Iraqi crude oil dedicated for export.
