Phillips 66 resumes Lake Charles operations
Phillips 66 has resumed operations at its 260,000 b/d refinery in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
The refiner reported today that the facility and "nearly all" necessary midstream assets had restarted with reliable electricity.
The company did not clarify at what rate the refinery was operating, or whether all units were back online.
Phillips 66 shut down the refinery in late August as Hurricane Laura approached. The refinery sustained little damage, but Laura devastated the region's electrical power grid.
Reliable power was expected at the end of September, but Hurricane Delta again delayed restart efforts as it passed along a path similar to Laura last week.
